Gathered Curtains

A traditional gathered top curtain. Suitable for most windows. Made with a standard heading height of 5cm.

Roman Blinds

A chic flat folding blind which can either fit inside or outside of a window frame.

Roller Blinds

Simple laminated blinds that can be placed inside or outside of a window frame. Suitable for most windows, including kitchen and bathroom. Choose from a straight or shaped finish.

How to Measure your Windows

1. CURTAINS

The failsafe way is to install a track or pole first. Make sure you have carpets or flooring in place before you measure.

TO MEASURE THE WIDTH: If you have a POLE, measure the pole excluding the finials (decorative ends of poles). If you have a TRACK, measure the maximum length of the track including any returns or overlaps.

TO MEASURE THE LENGTH (or drop): Choose between the following options: full length to floor/sill length/below sill length. Your measurement should be the drop from the eye of the ring or the eye of the track, to required length - do not include the fabric heading (the section above the hooks) in your measurements.

We recommend adding 2cm in length for curtains to break on the floor. Measure both sides of the window and if the floor is uneven, take the longer length.

2 ROMAN or ROLLER BLINDS

Choose from:

FACE FIXING: The blind will be fixed directly onto the wall, ceiling or outside of the window frame. The blind will be made to the exact dimensions given. The drop is normally the measurement to your sill.

RECESS FIXING: The blind goes into a recess frame or architrave. When measuring allow for clearance - for roman blinds 5mm less each side of the width, for roller blinds give the full width of the recess. Then check for any discrepancies in width and length on each side. The drop is normally the measurement to your sill.

3. LININGS

We offer a choice of three linings:

PLAIN LINING: A white 100% cotton lining.

INTERLINING: A light wadding fabric used in conjunction with either a plain lining or a blackout lining. This gives a heavier weight curtain and keeps out draughts.

BLACKOUT LINING: Keeps most of the light out. Ideal for childen’s bedrooms. Please bear in mind some light will seep out along the top and sides of both curtains and blinds. Blackout lining for roller blinds is only available in cream.
