What payment methods does Cath Kidston accept?

We accept all major credit cards: VISA, MasterCard, Visa Delta, Solo (except Amex) and Switch debit cards.

When will I be charged for my order?

Payment is taken out of your account when the order is in stock and ready to be dispatched.

What happens to the item I have ordered that are currently out of stock?

The item which is out of stock at the time of ordering will go onto a back order and as soon as it comes into stock, payment will be taken from the account and the order will be dispatched. Postage is only charged to the initial order.

Will I be charged VAT?

We charge VAT to deliveries going to countries in the European Economic Community (EEC see below).

We do not charge VAT to deliveries going to countries outside the EEC.

New UK VAT Rate

From Monday 1st December VAT will be reduced from 17.5% to 15% on VAT applicable items.* We will be passing these on directly to our customers - online, in-store and via mail-order.

All products online now show the new VAT price. Prices in store will be amended at the till for the current time.

*VAT exempt items include children's products and books.

How the new UK VAT rate is worked out:

The 2.5% reduction from 17.5% to 15% actually means a discount of 2.13% on the displayed price. The example below illustrates how the 2.13% discount is calculated:

Current ticket price includes VAT at 17.5%
On a product that sells for £100 the EX VAT price is £85.11
To calculate the new price including EX VAT at 15% we must add 15% to the EX VAT price of £85.11, which equals £97.87

Additional VAT information (excluding UK):

There are territories of the above Member states, which are not subject to VAT. Below is a list of countries currently VAT exempt:

Will there be additional duties and taxes payable on my purchase?

You will be liable for all duties or levies payable at any foreign port as a result of delivery of goods outside of the United Kingdom. You shall not be entitled to cancel your order on the basis of unforeseen duties or levies.

How will I know if you have received my order?

After you send your order, a copy of your order will be emailed to you, please print or keep this copy for your own records.
