Make an Egg Cosy Competition

THIS COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED.

Let your imagination go wild and transform our egg cosy into a pussycat or an Easter chick, or sprinkle it with daisies, whatever takes your fancy, and you could win some fab Cath Kidston goodies. Email a digitial pic, plus your contact details, to stanley@cathkidston.com by Friday 1st May 2009. Good luck!

What to do:

1. Fold the paper in half lengthways and cut a curve across a top corner opposite the fold. Open out and use as a pattern to cut out a front and back for the cosy from the felt square.

2. Photocopy and cut out the motif shapes below, or draw your own designs, transferring them onto the back of the felt scraps.

3. Cut out the felt shapes and stick them on to the cosy front using fabric glue. Decorating the design with embroidery or cotton thread will also help secure the felt pieces.

4. To finish, pin the two halves of the cosy together leaving the bottom edge open. Join together with blanket stitch.

Top tip! For egg cosies with a touch of bling, thread tiny beads onto your needle as you sew.
